This was an ordinary 2-bedroom in a large, uptown co-op building. The layout was awkward, with a long entrance hall and L-shaped living area. While respecting the traditional taste of the owner, we defined a sequence of spaces that promotes deliberate use of each. The trickiest, a transitional area between hallway and living room, becomes a fully appointed media space. We embedded LED lighting in mouldings to lend atmosphere and definition.
